How it works

  1. 01

    Add source images

Choose one to five JPEG, PNG, or WebP files.

  2. 02

    Select widths and formats

Use the production-ready defaults or adjust the output set. Pixo never upscales a source.

  3. 03

    Generate locally

Variants are resized and encoded sequentially through the same browser worker used by Pixo's image tools.

  4. 04

    Deploy the ZIP

Download assets, a JSON manifest, picture.html, srcset.txt, and a README that leaves alt text to the site author.

Tips for better results

  • Set the HTML sizes attribute for your real layout; srcset alone does not tell the browser how wide the image will render.
  • Keep a fallback format alongside WebP when supporting older clients or image-processing pipelines.
  • Generated markup intentionally leaves alt text blank for you to write in context.
